Auction service signs up latest regional agency from rival service

Bamboo Auctions has signed up another agency to its white label service.

Bradleys Estate Agents will now use the platform to offer an auction service.

The agency, with branches in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, previously used IAM Sold.

Chris Baxter, managing director of Bradleys Estate Agents, said: “Bamboo was chosen for its innovative and personalised approach to this sector of the property marketplace which has included an integral training and support service to all Bradleys sales staff.

“This has meant that from the first day of working with Bamboo, Bradleys Estate Agents have been able to hit the ground running, offering a number of exciting new property instructions to the marketplace.”

A number of independent agents are also in the process of being integrated and launched, with more agents now on a waiting list, Bamboo Auctions said.

Robin Rathore, chief executive of Bamboo Auctions, said: “Bradleys has a strong reputation for providing excellent customer service. We’re looking forward to working together to grow their online auction business by providing their negotiators with that same high level of customer service and support.

“More and more agents are introducing online auctions to their string of services as a way not just to win instructions, but also to sell properties with more certainty, transparency and efficiency.

“Our technology allows agents to run auctions in an exciting, cost efficient way, without interfering with the vendor relationship.”

Meanwhile, another white label auction provider has announced a new office opening.

Pattinson Auction has relocated to a 10,000 sq ft premises in Silverlink Business Park in Newcastle.

Justin Beckwith, auction director for Pattinson, said: “Due to the rate we have grown over the last 12 months, we were bursting at the seams.

“We are confident the new building will provide a modern and vibrant work space for our staff and are on the lookout for talented individuals to join our growing teams.

“Moving to the new office will allow us to continue to grow and offer a fantastic white label auction service to our partner agents.

“With Brexit there may be uncertainty in the property market, and auction offers security to sellers with buyers paying non-refundable deposits, and fixed time scales for exchange and completion.

“Training and conference rooms will allow us to fine-tune our process even more and make the service we offer smoother and more accessible to our partner agents.”

Surely it is not daylight robbery, so long as they are aware from the outset. Trad auction houses often charge 10 – 15% buyer premiums.
