Auction House has launched an online eBay-style service.
Founder Roger Lake said: “Our new online service is the perfect solution to the age-old frustrations of traditional house-buying.
“Prices achieved are in line with those normally delivered by estate agents.
“Buyers and sellers know the timescale of the transaction, and both sides have proper control over the whole process.
“It’s a new hybrid selling service that could revolutionise the house sales process.”
The firm, which partners with estate agents, sold 611 lots in the first three months of the year out of a total of 816 lots offered.
Lake claimed that the “results are unmatched by any other auctioneer in the country”.
He added: “We’re particularly pleased that the group is performing so well in these months of uncertainty just prior to a general election, which are always a challenge for the property industry as a whole.”
