For the first time, Scotland will be officially represented within ARLA following the appointment of Brian Moran, area lettings director for Your Move, to the ARLA board.
It means that Moran, who has worked for Your Move in Scotland for 17 years and who was originally the regional representative for ARLA, can ensure that help and guidance regarding, for example, regulatory compliance is provided to letting agents across Scotland.
Moran also has a seat on the new Property Ombudsman Scheme (TPO) Scotland.
He takes up his appointment on the ARLA Board next week on July 8.

ARLA are well aware of the challenges facing the Private Rented Sector in Scotland and having Brian on the board will increase communication and help ARLA the industry to respond to these challenges.
