Rightmove has announced its upcoming webinars for estate agents, which will focus on addressing legislation updates to support agents across the whole of Great Britain.

Rightmove’s Legal & Compliance director David Cox will be hosting News Hour on 8 February, providing agents with an update on the latest news and regulations affecting the industry, as well as answering questions on all things legislation.

This will be followed by a legal and compliance update for Wales on 9 February, led by property law expert David Smith, who will have a particular focus on major changes in the lettings sector in Wales.

A week of legislation updates will be rounded off on 10 Februar, where Daryl Mcintosh, policy manager at Propertymark, will provide an update on the housing sector in Scotland, including the recently issued drafts by the Scottish government on their proposed Rented Sector Strategy.

Other February webinars

Outside of legislation week, on 16 February Malcolm Driscoll, lead anti-money laundering consultant at FCS Compliance, will be returning to discuss AML.

He will be focusing on discussing the role and responsibilities of an estate agencies’ nominated Money Laundering Reporting Officer, including understanding the risks and what do if they are away.

This follows December’s HMRC Inspection webinar, which saw a high attendance from agents who commented on the clear and direct information shared.

    There’s a very, very large, but rapidly diminishing one, whose info on their webpages are still more than 2 years behind the laws of the land.  Coincidentally, they are used by KammaData (compliance experts?) as a Client of note.  Oh, how I laugh every day…
