O’Riordan Bond has acquired Albion Knights Lettings, a Northampton-based lettings agency with more than 20 years’ trading history.
The acquisition adds Albion Knights’ portfolio of managed and let properties across Northampton and the surrounding villages to O’Riordan Bond’s business. Founded by Sally Knights, the agency has specialised in residential lettings and property management for landlords from its office in Wootton Village.
“I thought very carefully who to sell to and O’Riordan Bond were top of my list,” said Sally Knights. “They are a bigger version of Albion Knights – independent, local and with a real emphasis on providing great customer services, and so I was delighted when I was able to agree terms with Simon Bond so I could hand over the reins to his fantastic lettings team.”
Albion Knights manages more than 200 properties across Northampton from its office in Wootton Village.
The acquisition follows O’Riordan Bond’s purchase of Mike Neville Estate Agents in Rushden last year. The combined acquisitions increase the company’s managed portfolio to around 1,500 properties.
The business has also secured the lease on a sixteenth office in Moulton, Northampton, and says it plans to continue expanding following sustained growth in recent years.
“We were really pleased Sally chose to sell her business to us,” added Tim Lines, commercial director. “Albion Knights is a well respected lettings agency and we are focused on continuing to deliver a great service to all our landlord clients through our dedicated property management team located in Grange Park and now Wootton.”
O’Riordan Bond says it is actively looking to acquire more lettings businesses.
