Agents Giving urges firms to step up support for foodbanks

Agents are being urged to help their local foodbanks, particularly with items for struggling parents with baby essentials.

It comes as Agents Giving steps up its support for food banks charity the Trussell Trust.

Firms are being urged to support the campaign by donating food as well as baby supplies such as nappies, baby wipes, toiletries and baby food to help expectant mothers in need.

In one example of ways to help, estate agency Paramount in West Hampstead, London, has set up a collection point for donations and has organised events to raise much-needed funds, supplies and donations for its local Brent foodbank.

Reagan Bradley, operations director at Paramount, said: “We feel very strongly about helping our local foodbank at all times of the year. However, the drive for collections for new mothers is one especially close to our hearts.

“We are an office with many parents, and being a parent-to-be, the importance of these vital items can’t be underestimated.

“Providing a baby bath of essentials enables a new mother to have one less thing to worry about in an already stressful time.”

You can find your local foodbank and see what items they require at https://www.trusselltrust.org/get-help/find-a-foodbank/
