Agent raises a record £75,000 in just one night for local hospice

An estate agent has raised an incredible £75,000 in just one night. The money will go towards a local hospice.

Nicholas Humphreys, whose eponymous firm is based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, held a night of music and entertainment in a marquee in the family garden last weekend.

The headline act was Heather Small of the M-People, and another highlight was the charity auction which raised over £35,000.

Humphreys set up the Nicholas Humphreys charity foundation some years ago, and it has so far donated over £160,000 to local charities.

However, the charity has never raised as much in just one night before.

The money will build a new kitchen and conservatory at Loughborough’s Rainbows hospice.

A spokesperson said they were absolutely thrilled that the project can now go ahead immediately.

Many congratulations to the Humphreys family, staff and supporters on an incredible achievement.
