Agent launches £25,000 charity fund for local community

Cheshire-based independent agent Gascoigne Halman has set up a £25,000 fund which is to be shared out among organisations, charities and groups in the local community.

The fund has been set up to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary this year.

Managing director John Halman said: “We were keen to mark our 25th anniversary in a meaningful way. We didn’t want it to become self-congratulatory.

“It was with this in mind that we developed the idea for our £25k Community Challenge which sees us inviting local organisations to apply for a slice of the fund to assist with the work they are doing at grass roots level.

“Over the past eight years we have raised over £66,000 for a number of charities and it has become part of what we do as a business. Each year we until now focused on a different charity.

“I am delighted that we are taking a slightly different approach this year, one that will enable us to support a number of charities and organisations.”

Gascoigne Halman has 18 offices across south Manchester, Cheshire and the High Peak.
