Agent appears in court accused in £300,000 fraud case

An estate agent accused of being behind a £300,000 fraud has appeared before Carlisle Crown Court.

Cumbrian agent Donald George Scott, 61, made a brief appearance, only to confirm his name.

Scott, of Wigton-based Donald Scott Land & Estate Agents, entered no pleas.

He faces five charges of forgery and 11 counts of fraud by abusing his position as a land agent.

The case was adjourned until November 20 for a hearing.

Scott was released on bail, according to this report
