An estate agency is launching a regional property roadshow aimed in part at vendors whose homes have failed to sell with other agents.
Fine & Country West Wales, in partnership with Homes of Wales, will hold the first event at The Bandstand in Aberystwyth on Friday 21 August, with further pop-up exhibitions planned across West Wales.
The initiative, called The Great Unlocking, will focus on vendors, buyers and homeowners whose moving plans have stalled, as well as property moves driven by downsizing, relocation, family transitions and passing homes to the next generation.
Fine & Country West Wales said more than half of its instructions are second or third-agent wins, with the business frequently appointed after another agent has been unable to secure a sale.
Nigel Salmon, managing director of Fine & Country West Wales, said: “For us, The Great Unlocking is also about the properties and vendors who have become stuck.
“We regularly speak to homeowners who have already been on the market, sometimes with more than one agent, without achieving a sale. These events give us an opportunity to start those conversations face-to-face and demonstrate a different approach.”
The Aberystwyth exhibition will showcase a selection of properties and estates represented by the agency across Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
Visitors will also be able to meet members of the Fine & Country West Wales and Homes of Wales teams and discuss buying, selling and other property matters.
Salmon said: “West Wales has always had a story to tell when it comes to property, and this exhibition is about bringing that story to the people who live here.
“Whether someone is buying their first home, selling a family property, or thinking about what comes next, we want to be the team that helps unlock that transition with confidence.”
Salmon added: “The traditional estate agency branch remains important, but there is also value in taking the business directly into the communities we serve.
“We see these exhibitions as a way of creating a more personal point of contact, while showcasing the breadth of property we represent across West Wales. If the Aberystwyth event proves successful, it will be the first of a number of locations we take The Great Unlocking to.”
The inaugural West Wales Property Exhibition will run from 9am to 4.30pm on Friday 21 August.
