Sarah Cull appointed associate director at Strutt & Parker
Sarah Cull has been appointed associate director at Strutt & Parker in Salisbury.
Cull has a wealth of agency experience in Salisbury and the surrounding residential market spanning back over 20 years.
She started her working life in the hospitality industry as a chef before taking up a position in a front of house role.
Cull joined Myddelton & Major in Salisbury in 1998, and worked her way up to being a salaried partner before joining Strutt & Parker.
She said: “I am delighted to be joining a very dynamic office for such a trusted and long established brand.
“Working alongside office head Fiona Pengelly, it is very exciting to be able to develop my expertise further in a larger geographical area, and to have to opportunity to continue building excellent working relationships with both my clients and purchasers.
“Already I have been able to achieve great sales for our clients on some beautiful properties and I am very much looking forward to working hard to promote our services in the Salisbury and wider area.”
Redrow Lancashire appoint two new directors
Redrow Lancashire has made two key director appointments.
The Chorley-based division of the national housebuilder has brought in Mark Dawson in the role of technical director and James Whiteley as commercial director as it looks to expand its Lancashire portfolio of sites in the year ahead.
Dawson, 51, brings 20 years’ experience in housebuilding to his role, having spent the last 15 years as technical director at Taylor Wimpey Manchester. Earlier in his career he ran a subcontracting business having followed in his father’s footsteps to become a qualified civil engineer.
He said: “Our team’s function is largely to support the land, commercial and construction teams, through collaboration and teamwork. Once land is acquired we will design and engineer the site to ensure we deliver new developments for construction in a timely manner. As a business we are looking to secure some key new sites in the near future.”
Whiteley, Redrow’s new commercial director, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, spent the first 12 years of his career working for various UK housebuilders, initially as a quantity surveyor before heading up various commercial departments.
He commented: “I’ll also be working to ensure our team fully supports the changing demands of the region. Our focus will be to manage regional build costs and provide budget certainty in a changing market.”
Savills appoints Chris Shaw to head its Notting Hill office
Chris Shaw has joined Savills as the new head of its Notting Hill office.
Joining Savills with more than 18 years’ experience in the industry, Shaw was previously the head of sales at Notting Hill-based agency Domus Nova for seven years.
Prior to Domus Nova, Shaw was the head of sales at the Hyde Park branch of Hamptons International for 10 years and has also worked most recently as a regional partner at Garrington Property Finders.
Together with the rest of the sales team, Shaw will concentrate on handling sales of prime flats and houses in the Notting Hill area.
He will also work closely with Peter Bevan and Kit Allen from the Savills Kensington office on the sale of super prime property in the wider area.
Shaw commented: “Having spent the best part of twenty years working with clients in the area I know how Notting Hill is such an exciting market to work in.
“I am really looking forward to working with the talented teams here at Savills, whilst bringing my own experience of the local market and helping drive Savills growth to the next level.”
