Eye’s present to you: a festive quiz (with just a few trick questions)

The Property Industry Eye team – Nick, Rosalind, John and Charlene – would like to wish all our readers a very happy festive season.

We are signing off now until the New Year.

At least, that is our plan! Obviously, if there are any major news stories, we will put them on the site without delay.

We would like to thank all our readers for your great loyalty and support.

Property Industry Eye was launched only in March of this year. Our daily newsletter now goes out to 16,000 subscribers, and we are grateful to those of you who have spread the word.

Thank you also to our advertisers for your faith in our new venture.

Here, to keep you gainfully occupied over the festive period and offered with Eye’s very good wishes, is a quiz especially for residential property buffs.

It’s multi-choice. Only one factual answer – and please note the factual – out of the possible replies given per question is correct.

However, there are some exceptions.

There are four trick questions where more than one answer is right, and one trick question where none of the answers is correct. Sorry about that!

We will pick the winning answer “out of the hat” in January, with a case of wine for the winner.

In a shameless attempt to keep at least some traffic on our site over the festive period, all of the answers can be found on Eye.

Or at least, we hope they can. You can never really be sure…

Good luck!

Well done to Team Eye for a great debut year! On a good note I've not had the need for an alarm clock for months due to my body clock waking up at 7 for the daily news feed!

Cheers to all at the Eye and all contributors, posters, etc………For those that I have disagreed with in 2014, I am sure you will see the light in 2015……Seriously, the debate and discussion is very important to me, it gives me a real sense of what is really happening in our industry……so thanks and seasons greetings to everyone ***

wilko – I agree with you totally. Just one small question. I have to confess that whilst I still have massive reservations – ALL for the good of the many and not the few – you chaps and chapesses that I fondly refer to as 'The AM Collective' have given me much to think about and in some ways softened my stance. Have YOU 'come round' in any way to where I and others stand – or are we still all numpties? (don't forget I don't huff – so a 'yes' will just make me giggle! :o) ) Regardless of the answer – all the best, matey!

Hey PeeBee merry Christmas to you sir! Now that I've had some Xmas drinks (and it's only 1pm!!)I feel obliged to let you know that there was a post that you made yesterday to a certain Mr Henry that actually solidified my resolve even more. Why is someone such as he posting for the first time with his one and only post being a link to a blog from his site stating his commitment to z for the whole of 2015?! Could it be that he values the leads he gets on behalf of his clients, perhaps, or that he believes that Zoopla is taking the industry in the right direction, maybe or perhaps the answer is in the fact that Mr Henrys firm is no1 in the Zoopla national league based on social interaction and he wants to keep that position. Whilst I agree that twitter and Facebook could be a great way to reach out to people I am yet to be shown how someone spending their whole day and night telling people (with pictures) that he is at Wembley stadium or Neasden High Street in an attempt to get to the top of this pointless league is actually going to help achieve a higher price for his clients, more so it's some extra pointless spill to come out with on a val that will have absolutely zero benefit to his clients.
I appreciate that we will see more and more tech come into the industry but it has to be the right kind of tech that actually helps out customers and not ones such as the Zoopla social interaction league that's brought in purely so agents keep themselves tied to a portal. See look what you made me do PeeBee…posting in Xmas day, now I really sad and need to get a life;)

Now, then, Paul H – I've turned you into as big a saddo as me! Well… nearly – I bet you weren't on RM & Z at 6.45 yesterday morning doing a sold stock analysis! Nice to see that PeeBee & Co are still No#1 in 3 out of 4 of our respective towns! And WE don't 'DO' Tw@tter so maybe, as you say, it's all about putting the work in behind the desks and less about Twerping every time you f@rt, as this character obviously needs to tell the world some 46,000 times and counting… As for using the page to claim "We are one of the Top 100 UK Estate Agents"… well – if he claims it enough times he might just manage to convince HIMSELF if nobody else – what you say, matey? I'm very much with Mr Cameron on the whole malarkey and this guy DEFINITELY proves that "Too many tweets make a Tw@t" ;o)

As far as 2015 goes… you know what I'm gonna say next, matey, don't ya –

          Bring. It. On. ;o)

          All the best, bud!
