MAB kicks off sponsorship deal with football club

The Mortgage Advice Bureau has announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Derby County Football Club.

MAB, which recently listed on AIM, employs over 100 staff in its head office in Derby.

The deal with the club means MAB will be very visible at Derby County’s iPro Stadium – with football fans getting pitched for the offer of financial advice.

Local mortgage advisers Rob Brookes and his team will be visiting the stadium regularly, offering mortgage and protection insurance reviews to Derby County supporters in hospitality boxes.

Supporters who do decide to get mortgage advice will receive match tickets and be entered into a prize draw to win tickets for lunch with Steve McClaren and attend a training session at Derby County Training Centre.

Derby County’s president and chief executive Sam Rush said: “It’s great to welcome Mortgage Advice Bureau on board here at Derby County, especially because they are a local employer serving local people.”

MAB chief executive Peter Brodnicki said: “As a Derby-based business we’re looking forward to building a really strong partnership with Derby County in the coming years.

“Our recent listing on AIM shows how ambitious we are on a national scale, but given our Derby roots, it’s appropriate that we sign our first sponsorship deal with our local club.”
