Estate agents Howard Cundey LLP have been ordered to pay over £21,000 to a former employee.
The tribunal found that Mrs A Hutchings was unfairly dismissed by the firm, which has been ordered to pay a compensatory award of £17,587.
Howard Cundey LLP was also found to have made an unauthorised deduction from Mrs Hutchings’ wages.
In total, the tribunal has ordered a payment to her of £21,143.
Howard Cundey LLP, which is now in liquidation, made a number of staff redundant. It had operated from ten offices in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

According to an earlier tribunal case, Howard Cundey LLP had cut staff pay by 30%, in breach of the ACAS Code of Practice. In that case, the tribunal last November ordered payment of £28,000 to another former employee.
While Howard Cundey LLP is in liquidation, Howard Cundey Live now operates a different model – offering a 24/7 service from hubs, and charging from £599.

I noticed they had a live advert over the Christmas period, had woeful interest. Would not surprise me if they have pulled it and will relaunch it in the future.
