Homes viewing service Viewber raises £2.2m as it looks for expansion

Viewber, the national viewings service launched 18 months ago, has raised £2.2m in its latest – and third – fundraising round.

Viewbers themselves were able to chip in.

The funding will be spent on further development of the company’s technology platform, marketing and key staff hires.

Launched in September 2016 by ex-London agent Ed Mead and Marcus de Ferranti, Viewber also announced it has now completed over 20,000 viewings.

Mead said: “It’s exciting to see an original idea for helping buyers and tenants get access to properties out of hours and at weekends, growing into something the industry accepts as a valuable addition to the services they provide.”

Non-executive director Peter Rollings, former boss of Marsh & Parsons, said: “Over the last two years I’ve been asked to get involved with a number of prop tech businesses, and Viewber made obvious sense to me, and to work with Ed on such a ground-breaking project is exciting.

“At a challenging time for everyone in the property industry, Viewber is a service that enables agents to boost their bottom line with minimal capital outlay.”
