Second acquisition within four months for expanding regional agent

Yorkshire agent Manning Stainton has completed its second acquisition in four months.

It has purchased – for an undisclosed sum – Clear Properties. The deal follows the acquisition of AR Estates.

Clear Properties is an independent agent, established in 2004, providing residential sales and lettings services to sellers, buyers and landlords in Adel and the surrounding areas.

Mark Manning, managing director of Manning Stainton, said: “We have known the directors of Clear Properties for some years and when the time came for them to consider selling we were delighted that we were able to agree a mutually amicable arrangement.”

Terry Robinson, director of Clear Properties, said: “My main priority when looking to sell the business was to ensure that the management of my existing clients was in the safest possible hands.

“Having received a number of approaches from other agents it was clear that Manning Stainton shared our customer service values along with having a reputation for excellence.”

As part of the purchase Manning Stainton will take over the extensive Clear Properties lettings portfolio, as it looks to strengthen its position  through organic growth and future acquisitions.

The firm made clear that it remains on the acquisition trail.

Manning said: “Our continued ambitions are to work with other like-minded businesses, if they feel the time has come for them to sell.

“The industry is experiencing some fundamental changes and we feel that our expertise in the industry, aligned with our extensive branch network, could be of real benefit to independent agents and landlords during these challenging times.”

Manning Stainton currently has 19 branches across west and north Yorkshire.
