The Phil effect – Agents Giving becomes ESTAS charity

Agents Giving has announced that it has become the official charity for next year’s ESTAS.

The charity will have a strong presence at the awards bash, compered by Phil Spencer.

Spencer is also the charity’s patron.

Meanwhile, Agents Giving is to host its first ball on October 2 at the Marriott Hotel in London’s Grosvenor Square.

Billed as “an evening of celebration”, it will be another opportunity for the estate agency industry to raise money for good causes.

The ball will be attended by Spencer.

Nearly half of the available tables have already been reserved by supporters of the charity.

Peter Knight, chairman at Agents Giving, said: “We have already had an excellent response for tickets to our inaugural ball and we really do have so much to celebrate in 2014: we have successfully rebranded the charity, welcomed a number of new ambassadors and started to recruit regional directors to spread the Agents Giving word.

“Our new partnership with Rightmove, who are awarding grants for the setting up of agent and housebuilder fund-raising activities, is set to make raising money for charity even easier.

“Now is the time to celebrate all the charitable achievements in estate agency and suppliers to the industry, get together and do one of the things we do best for one night – raise money.

“All funds raised on the evening will be distributed back to our supporters’ chosen charities as part of our ‘10% top-up initiative’ which was also launched this year.”

Tickets cost £1,200 for a table of 10 or £150 per ticket.
