Online agent eMoov has unveiled a new digital system for vendors promising to take “estate agency tech to the next level”.
It has used the launch to hit back at high street agents, with one eMoov customer claiming he had previously been kept in the dark.
The Hero 2 dashboard can be accessed on multiple devices, lets users update photos, arrange viewings and see how much interest their listings are getting.
Users can also set up email and text alerts.
A customer quoted in the press release, John Edwards, said: “After looking at all of the contenders in the online estate agent arena, I decided on eMoov, partly due to the fact that they had a web-based customer dashboard that I could access when I wanted to.
“I have previously been kept in the dark with high street agents when asking for information and really struggled to get anything on traffic to my property listing and so on.
“Although they must have had it, I’m certain they were trying to say that all interest was coming through their office in order to justify their expensive fee and overheads.”
Olly Dobson, vice-president of product for eMoov, said: “For us, it’s all about engagement and empowering the seller to take control of their sale, on their terms, whether that be by perfecting their property advert, seeing how their property is performing, or accepting an offer on their property, 24/7 from the comfort of their home.”
Ivan Ramirez, who has a more standard job title of chief technical officer for eMoov, said: “There are many online agents who believe technology will eventually oversee the full estate agency service, but we strongly believe this won’t be the case.
“The key to being a truly successful hybrid estate agent is the ability to service the customer in a multi-channel environment with a mixture of people and empowering technology.
“As we look further afield to an international expansion, this technology will not only help facilitate that with ease but will open up new applications for the technology within the property industry.“
The trouble is nowadays, I can’t read an eMoov/ Russell Quirk press realease without reading it in a bad parody and voice of Donald Trump voice running a press conference

The dashboard. It’s a thing. A beautiful thing.
Because things have been dark. Sooooooooo dark. Really.
And something must be done. Something. Must. Be. Done.
And it will. Something. It will.
It’s gonna be great.
Continued ad nauseam….

Plenty of ‘dashboards’ already available. One of the best is the Open Book offered by Haus Properties in London.

Isn’t it funny how the customer comment always seems to identify the specific problem, and in minute technical detail, the press release relates to?
It’s like me claiming a vendor of mine has said ‘the floor plans were clearly market leading, and the photography was better than we hoped for, giving our property the best representation it could possibly have’……after I have given it them a script to read from!

They’ve seriously only just added this now???? I hope they approved the photos before they go live, I had this with mpfs about 5 years ago and some vendors photos had kids playing in the garden, unmade beds etc. Cant believe they have just added this as a feature now its laughable saying it’s ‘Next Level’.

Hmmm… an eMoov article.
I guess it would be rude not to mention that The Quirkster’s aged MFI Sale has finally ended, and his prices have risen.
It’s now “Sell for just £795”. Note the first word in that little nugget – SELL.
A quick definition check gives us:
‘give or hand over (something) in exchange for money’
But of course, with eMoov, it is also “DON’T SELL for just £795″
There wasn’t a definition check available for that until recently, when PurpleListers latest #AlternativeFact advertising spree gave us the idea of
#CONmisery (Verb) Kon-miz-urr-ee
Fairly self-explanatory name for that sinking feeling a disgruntled homeowner will experience when their home fails to sell having been hoiked up on a couple of portals and left to its’ own devices ‘cos “It’s all done online now, innit” – and they realise that the money they have paid/signed a Credit Agreement to pay in the coming weeks/months for what the Call-Centre Agent openly advertsed as “SELL YOUR HOME FOR £***” has bought them a goodly chunk of diddly squat and certainly not the three opening words of that claim.
See – it was made for the job!
BUT… here’s the REAL issue with The Quirkster’s ongoing pricing farce. Spotted on Tw@tter:

Seems that their online “Savings Calculator” hasn’t quite got its’ act together.
(If it ever had, that is…)
Maybe Mr Quirk will grace us with his presence and fill us in on the latest technological breakdowns at noMoov?

Sorry – that last bit should have read ‘technological breakthroughs at eMoov”
Bl00dy autocorrect…
