Alex Bailes, head of digital at Connells Group, has left the company.
He was just 11 months in the job.
He joined Connells after an abrupt departure from Countrywide, where he had been chief digital officer and after a solid track record.
Bailes, who is widely respected within the proptech sector and regarded as highly gifted, has now left Connells. No reason for his departure has been given.
A spokesperson for Connells said: “Alex has chosen to leave Connells Group and move on to a new challenge.
“We’d like to thank him for his significant contribution and wish him continued success in his future career.”
Wonder if Alex would be interested in new project for independents?

The article suggests he’s already taken up “a new challenge”. Giving nothing away on Tw@tter, LinkedIn page still has him at Connells.
I would suggest a bit ‘lacking’ for a self-proclaimed “PropTech Guru (!)”
