The Company

Our clients are a prominent Residential Property company with a number of branches across the North of the UK. Working specifically in the mid to upper range of the market, they are opening a new branch in the Durham area and are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lettings Manager to firmly establish them in the area.

The Role

  • To take the reins at this brand new office in the Durham area, recruiting and ultimately leading a team of experienced Negotiators.
  • Carrying out all Market Appraisals, accurately estimating their rental yield and bringing them to market.
  • Canvassing for new business by working with local landlords, networking at relevant events and analysing the competition.
  • Leading and motivating your team of Negotiators, ensuring that they are the best team they could possibly be.
  • Not only working to and exceeding agreed targets yourself, but setting realistic goals for your in-house team, designed to bring out the best.
  • Successfully sell the companys additional products, such as insurance and financial services, adding to the profitability of the office.

The Person

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in Residential Lettings at management level along with previous cold start experience, although this is not essential.
  • Good knowledge of the North East property market, with a strong understanding of rental figures / yields and an awareness of the local competition.
  • A proven Valuer with consistently high fee levels and conversion rates.
  • A track record of winning new business.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • ARLA or NFOPP qualified or equivalent.
