A firm supplying lone worker safety solutions has been included in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For.
Sheffield-based SoloProtect moved to new headquarters last October, called Suzy Lamplugh House in honour of the missing estate agent who was working alone when she vanished.
The office acts as the dedicated alarm receiving centre for the whole of the UK, operating 24/7 and able to escalate concerns quickly and accurately to police.
SoloProtect’s managing director Craig Swallow attended a Suzy Lamplugh Trust event back in 2002, and hit on a safety idea based around delegate name badges.
The wearable device designed to improve staff safety, called Identicom, is used widely by lone workers, including those in the NHS.
SoloProtect also supplies a lone worker app which can be used on smart phones.
The firm will have to wait until next month to discover its ranking in the Best Small Companies to Work For list.
