LRG has completed a programme of office refurbishments and relocations across its UK network as part of a wider investment in more sustainable workplaces.
The programme has been led by the group’s move into a new headquarters, which was selected for its environmental credentials and refurbished with an emphasis on retaining existing materials, reducing waste and improving energy efficiency. The fit-out has achieved a SKA Gold rating, while the building already held a BREEAM Excellent certification.
Alongside the head office move, LRG has completed projects across its branch network, including a new office in Sheffield, the relocation of its Derby lettings team, refurbishment of the Dunlop Heywood headquarters in Manchester and upgrades to Glide’s office in Poole. The group has also relocated its Derby Pride Park operation into a standalone office.
LRG said sustainable design principles are now being applied across all office projects, from major refurbishments to routine maintenance. Measures include reusing fixtures and furniture where possible, installing LED lighting, using sustainably sourced materials and improving energy efficiency across its estate.
LRG said the programme will continue throughout 2026 with further investment planned across its branch network.
Projects include the opening of a new flagship office in Nottingham, a second flagship site in Southampton and around 20 further office refurbishments. The group also plans to introduce its first sustainable model offices for Chancellors following its acquisition of the business in 2025.
LRG said the projects form part of a longer-term strategy to incorporate sustainable building and refurbishment practices across its property estate while continuing to invest in its office network.
David Wilson, Chief Operating Officer at LRG, commented, “Reducing our environmental impact is as much about behaviour and operational discipline as it is about the buildings themselves. By putting better systems, data and accountability in place, we are able to make smarter decisions day to day that lower energy use, reduce costs and support our longer-term carbon objectives.”
