An independent Norwich estate agency has opened a second branch, 18 years after launching its first office.
Property Ladder, run by brothers James and Ed Brooks, has expanded with a new office on Patteson Road in the NR3 area of the city.
The business was established in 2008 when James Brooks opened the agency’s first branch in Spixworth. Ed Brooks joined the company around three years later, and the pair have since overseen its growth across Norwich and the surrounding area.
Since then, the company has grown its presence across Norwich and the surrounding area.
Brooks said the new office has already generated interest from local homeowners looking to sell, providing the agency with a stronger presence in one of the city’s busiest residential markets.
The expansion marks a significant milestone for the independent firm, which has operated from a single branch for nearly two decades.
James Brooks told the press: “If you can demonstrate to people you have that human touch, they will trust handing over the keys to their property.”
Brooks, who was inspired by his father to become an estate agent, continued: “My dad worked as an estate agent in the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s. I was looking for a clear career path when I started.”
“I set up the business in 2008 during a credit crunch,” he added. “It needed to stand out as much as possible. Moving forward, I want to keep that human interest there.”
