Fine & Country has expanded into the Isle of Man, marking the brand’s first operation in the jurisdiction. The move is being led by newly appointed associate Jamie Sutton, who will oversee the launch and build-out of the business locally.
The Isle of Man, which has a population of just over 85,000, continues to attract interest from high-net-worth buyers, supported by demand for prime and luxury housing stock, as well as its positioning as a lower-density market with a strong community focus. The island also offers a distinct tax regime compared with mainland UK, which remains a factor in relocation and second-home decisions for some purchasers.
Connectivity is also cited as a key factor in buyer demand, with regular ferry and air links to the UK, including multiple daily flights to London airports, supporting both commuting and lifestyle-led moves.
“This is a significant milestone, not only for Fine & Country but also for the Isle of Man property market,” said Sutton. “We are bringing a globally recognised premium brand to a market that has, until now, lacked a dedicated luxury agency with both international reach and local expertise.”
He continued: “Post-pandemic shifts in working patterns have made relocation more viable, and the Isle of Man offers an exceptional quality of life alongside a favourable tax environment. This is increasingly attracting globally mobile buyers.”
Sutton notes that the Island’s appeal has only strengthened in recent years: “Post-pandemic shifts in working patterns have made relocation more viable, and the Isle of Man offers an exceptional quality of life alongside a favourable tax environment. This is increasingly attracting globally mobile buyers.”
“Education and visibility are critical,” added Sutton. “We’re not just another estate agent; we’re introducing a new level of service and reach. Our goal is to build trust, credibility, and a strong network within the local community.”
Nicky Stevenson, managing director of Fine & Country, commented: “Expanding into the Isle of Man is an exciting step for Fine & Country as we grow our global footprint. The Island is a highly attractive market, and Jamie’s local knowledge and experience make him ideally placed to lead our presence there.”
