Martin & Co’s Exeter branch has acquired Cooksleys Estate Agents, marking the first acquisition for franchise owners Nik and Rosie Davey since taking over the branch in early 2024.
The deal includes both the lettings management portfolio and the sales operation, effectively doubling the size of the Exeter branch across both sectors.
Since taking over the branch, Nik and Rosie Davey have focused on developing client relationships and building a local team to support the expanded business.
“It has been very busy and exciting getting to know the business and building great relationships with our clients,” said Nik Davey. “We have a brilliant, hard-working team and we wouldn’t have been able to get to where we are today without them.”
The acquisition of Cooksleys is part of the Exeter branch’s wider plan to expand its local presence, with the owners remaining open to additional opportunities.
“We would love to grow even more in the future,” added Nik Davey. “If the right fit for our business comes along, we would definitely look at further acquisitions.”
