WiEA announces key speakers for “Not a Conference” event

After three consecutive sell-out years, Women in Estate Agency (WiEA) has rebranded its flagship event, moving away from describing it as a conference following feedback from attendees.

The event, titled Not a Conference, will take place on Thursday 5 March 2026 at the Shaw Theatre in London. It is designed as a one-day programme centred on talks and discussion, rather than traditional conference formats.

The 2026 speaker line-up brings together contributors from property, business, leadership and sport, focusing on personal experiences and career development rather than formal presentations.

Headlining the event are Maxine and Darcy Laceby, founders of Absolute Collagen, who will discuss the development of their business and their experience of building a company as a family.

The programme also includes the return of WiEA’s short-form, TED-style talks, which were introduced in 2025. In 2026, these sessions will run under the theme Mistakes That Made Us, with speakers reflecting on decisions and challenges that influenced their careers.

The speakers are:

+ Mary Beeton, head of residential sales at Hamptons, reflecting on leadership, pressure and the realities of progression inside a large corporate environment.

+ Natalie Moore, founder of Aconveyancing, sharing the highs, lows and hard lessons of building a values led business from the ground up.

+ Hannah McCartan, lettings manager and WiEA Regional Champion, whose personal experience of illness reshaped her relationship with work, ambition and balance.

Returning is Colleen Babcock from Rightmove, delivering a session designed to challenge assumptions and encourage clearer, more confident decision-making using data.

Joining the WiEA stage for the first time is Sara Cox, a well-respected referee in international rugby. Drawing on her experience operating at the highest level of elite sport, her talk explores leadership, credibility and composure in environments where pressure is relentless and scrutiny is unavoidable.

And in true WiEA style, the final keynote speaker remains under wraps for now, teased only as a former CEO with candid leadership lessons and many more surprises still to come.

Verona Frankish, chair of Women in Estate Agency, said: “This isn’t a day of slides and scripts. It’s a fast-paced, emotionally intelligent experience that puts real women and real stories centre stage. These aren’t polished pitches, they’re the conversations our industry needs to have.”

Beyond the main stage, Not a Conference is designed to surprise. From conversation led interactive sponsor Zones and live moments you won’t see coming, to bursts of entertainment throughout the day and an aftershow that’s relaxed, inclusive and full of energy, it’s an experience people talk about long after they leave.

Tickets for WiEA’s Not a Conference 2026 are priced at £249. Demand is already high and expected to sell out very soon.
