Jones Robinson has expanded its lettings operation with the acquisition of the managed portfolio of Marlborough-based Kate’s Estates, following the retirement of the firm’s founder, Kate Deakin.
The deal sees landlords and tenants previously managed by Kate’s Estates transferred to Jones Robinson, strengthening the independent agency’s presence across Marlborough and the wider Pewsey Vale area.
Kate’s Estates was established in 2014 and specialised in residential lettings and property management. Deakin brought more than two decades of industry experience to the business and built a portfolio serving landlords and tenants across Wiltshire.
Following her decision to retire from the sector, Deakin has agreed for Jones Robinson to take over the management of her client base, ensuring continuity of service for landlords and tenants.
The acquisition adds to Jones Robinson’s growing footprint across Berkshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, where the agency operates residential sales, lettings and property management services.
Charles Robinson, founder of Jones Robinson, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome the landlords and tenants of Kate’s Estates to Jones Robinson. Kate has built a fantastic business with an excellent reputation and strong client relationships, and we are proud to have been chosen to continue looking after her clients going forward.”
As part of the handover, Deakin will continue to work alongside Jones Robinson over the coming weeks to support landlords and tenants through the transition.
Emma Hawkings-Byass, who has been working within Kate’s Estates, will also remain involved with the portfolio and will continue working closely with clients alongside Gabby Walker, Andy Escott and the wider Jones Robinson lettings team.
Deakin said: “Looking after my clients over the years has been a huge privilege, and finding the right business to continue supporting them was incredibly important to me. I am very pleased that Jones Robinson will be taking things forward and I know my clients will be in excellent hands.”
