Agents Giving has made donations to two amazing charities from funds raised by estate agents from events and fundraising activities in 2023 to The Trussell Trust and MIND mental health charity.
A donation has been made to MIND for £10,000 and The Trussell Trust for £21,993.
David Newnes, Agents Giving chairman, commented: “We were delighted to be able to catch up with last year’s supported charities to make the donations and to find out more about how the funds will help the work they carry out day in, day out to support those that need our help the most. Thanks to your generous support and donations we can make things that little bit brighter for those who receive much needed help from these two charities.”
Danielle Lanthier and Oliver Gorman from Paramount proudly presented the donation to MIND and spent some time finding out more about the charity and how the funds will help make a big difference to those experiencing mental health issues.
Emma Revie, chief executive at the Trussell Trust, said: “Thank you to the supporters at Agents Giving for their incredible donation. The winter was as expected the toughest yet, with food banks in our network distributing more than one million parcels between December and February which equates to one every eight seconds.
“Food bank teams work tirelessly to ensure help continues to be available, but ultimately, no-one in the UK should need to turn to a food bank as all of us should have enough money for the essentials. Your donation will help food banks within our network continue to provide emergency support, while we work together in the long term to build a country without the need for food banks. Thank you so much.”
Rosie Childs of MIND added: “We are extremely grateful for all your support, and this donation will help us to make such a difference to so many people. A donation to Mind is a donation to everyone experiencing a mental health problem. Mind is here to fight for mental health across England and Wales. Their helplines, online information and peer support services offer advice to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
“Mind campaigns nationally to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health, while their network of shops and local Minds support people in their communities. They won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect?”.
