Last month, EYE broke the news that Leaders Romans Group had agreed a deal to buy the eight-branch Isle of Wight business of Hose Rhodes Dickson.
At that time LRG was unwilling to confirm details of the deal but yesterday the company finally confirmed that Hose Rhodes Dickson has now become part of the estate agency giant.
Hose Rhodes Dickson, founded 32 years ago by Jeff Hose and Mark Rhodes, in Ventnor, has eight offices across the island.
The company currently operates in Newport, Cowes, East Cowes, Ryde, Bembridge, Shanklin, Ventnor, Freshwater, and Bembridge.
This is the second acquisition for the estate agency group since the recent purchase of LRG by Platinum Equity.
Under new ownership, Hose Rhodes Dickson has ambitious plans to strengthen its position within the property market, as well as bringing additional services to the Isle of Wight. The three active directors: Matthew White, Marcus Waldron and Jamie Busby will retain leadership roles within the business.
Marcus Waldron, from Hose Rhodes Dickson, said: “We’re delighted to be joining LRG and look forward to seeing the business go from strength to strength. Ours is a real success story – we’re very proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and we’re even more excited by what our future holds under new ownership.
“LRG is a great cultural fit for us; we continue to be a local company, led by Isle of Wight-based directors, who are committed to serving the local community. Our customers can expect the same high-quality service and values from the same dedicated and knowledgeable team, with the benefit of being supported by one of the UK’s largest and most respected property groups.”
Matthew Light, group mergers & acquisitions director at LRG, commented: “We’re pleased to have been selected by Hose Rhodes Dickson following a competitive process and look forward to welcoming them into the LRG family.
“The experienced team will now join our ranks and bring a wealth of local knowledge that will be supported by the additional services from LRG, helping each customer on their individual property journey. This move supports both the LRG and Hose Rhodes Dickson growth strategies, and we are all very excited for what is to come”
