Estate agency plans to expand after undergoing management buyout

An East Midlands estate agency is planning to expand after undergoing a management buyout.

Results Estate Agents of Rothwell, Northamptonshire, has been acquired by Anita Lovell from its previous management team.

Lovell previously worked as warehouse operations director for a national warehouse and distribution company, and in 2008 won a prestigious award, having been named Business Woman of the Year at the MAN everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards.

She told the press: “I have big plans for the future of Results and that we will build upon; creating a dynamic team with a strong work ethic, whilst upholding our reputation as the ‘Trusted Agency’ and customer service excellence. We also have the privilege of working with some fantastic third-party suppliers who play a huge part in our success. From IT, professional photographer, to the local tradesmen.”

The firm recently opened a second branch based on Station Road in Desborough. It also updated of all its IT and telephony equipment, new website and additional marketing platforms.

Lovell added: “We’re absolutely committed to Rothwell and surrounding villages, but the time has come to spread the company’s wings. We’re delighted to be able to serve Desborough and have already got our eyes on a potential third branch which will mean more staff and a greater geographical coverage for us.

“Our investment in IT and Telephony has meant our sites are linked and we can communicate like we are all in the same office, something that was never possible before.

Good luck to this small team for taking over their own business they used to be employed in. Stories about employees becoming owners of the same firm always make good reading.

There will be more of these stories in the coming months as the owners of established estate agency firms realise the peak has passed and take the opportunity to cash in.
