New boards for John D Wood after a mere 25 years

It has only taken 25 years, but Countrywide brand John D Wood & Co has finally got some new boards.

The new-look boards have a larger John D Wood logo, and have also been designed to accommodate information regarding local events and sponsorships.

Marketing director Richard Page said it was “incredible but true” that the old boards had carried the same design for a quarter of a century.

The redesigned boards go hand in hand with new office refurbishments now being rolled out across the branch network.

At this rate, the company’s next facelift will be in 2040. It’s in our diary.

One thing I do not understand about agents nowadays is this ‘mini call centre’ look… It’s really not good for the staff or the clients…

For me, the thing to remember is that we are not all the same. People are distracted and discouraged by different things and find that different things lead to lack of productivity.

There is a very good article at: http://www.longwoods.com/content/22409 which concludes:

“No one is stigmatised when evereyone’s individual needs are, as much as possible, taken into account in the design, assignment and operation of the workplace.”

I would hate to have to sit that close to someone all day. Imagine that little lot all on the phone at the same time.
