Zoopla to launch biggest-ever campaign on Boxing Day

Zoopla is launching what is says is its biggest ever advertising campaign, starting with a TV advert on Boxing Day.

The new campaign, which is called “Knowing More”, will include national radio and out of home advertising.

It is expected that 91% of the UK will see a Zoopla TV advert on average 37 times during the campaign period.

The first TV advert features an estate agent and a couple, and centres around the character of the ‘house whisperer’ – a house-hunter who appears to be ‘communicating’ with the home to find out key bits of information about it and the area, but their source turns out to be Zoopla.

Zoopla says the campaign will be highly memorable, combining humour and entertainment, and is designed to convince the nation to start their property search on Zoopla.

The adverts will air in some of the most high-profile TV spots on Boxing Day and beyond including Coronation Street, Live Premier League Football and Gogglebox, and will be specifically aimed at increasing brand awareness for Zoopla.

Gareth Helm, chief marketing officer, said: “Zoopla took a break from TV and focused on other marketing channels over the last year and has seen some excellent results, with Zoopla now the most famous property search portal in the UK.

“We have an opportunity to now move this on further by coming back to TV with a big bang during what is traditionally one of the busiest periods for TV viewing and the property market.

“Moving house is an important decision but advertising around it should still be entertaining.

“We’ll be capitalising upon this with light hearted and fun advertising that will stand out against other campaigns, drive more visits to Zoopla, increase brand exposure for our members and ultimately generate more leads for agents listing on Zoopla.”

Looks exciting if not a little scary! ……at least it’s unlikely to be stating any misleading claims like OTMs initial ad claiming to have homes you won’t find anywhere else.

Wrong.  You will find properties on OTM that are not anywhere else. WE certainly have plenty there any not on any other portal.  Get facts right please! 🙁

Really? So you don’t list these clients homes on your own website?

You will find properties on eBay and Gumtree which are not anywhere else too! But little else information… best stick to RM/Z I think, to get the full facts.

I’ll be watching Pompey play Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road on the 26th. Far more exciting 🙂

I must admit that ‘Zoopla’ wasn’t the first thing that entered my head when I first glanced at the picture.

All rather too little too late – will Hoopla still be around in 12 months time??

What a childish comment, and clearly missing some facts.  Both RM and Z do plenty or PR.

    Is she listening for woodworm?

Anyhoo, pleased to know one of the portals I advertise on is spending sum money on increasing it’s traffic, hopefully some of this will trickle down to me!

Actually the feedback from my friendly competitors is they often wish they hadn’t switched to OTM and stayed with Zoopla !

Personally I prefer not to advertise on any portals because they cost money above and beyond what we were doing 25 years ago. However because everyone else is I have to too!

        Baah !

The Exorcist comes to house-hunting. Is this because Z’s mojo isn’t working any more?

I reckon she is begging the Z reps not to increase her monthly sub again.
