Zoopla has introduced a new data migration experience that will allow Jupix customers to upgrade to Alto, the cloud-based software for agents.
The property portal says that the tooling, which is in pilot stage and available exclusively to Jupix customers who upgrade their software to Alto, will enable an end to end migration in four weeks.
Zoopla says that the new experience will save time for agents, but will also lead to a smoother transition for those who decide to change their software
As part of this new tooling, certain datasets can now be migrated to Alto automatically – instead of manually and will save agents 16hrs on average, and reduce the chance of administrative error.
Once Jupix customers select their migration date, the transfer of data can begin within 24 hours of the selected date – while the progress of the transfer can be monitored by customers in real-time via the ‘Progress Tracker’.
Agents will receive a confirmation email when the data has been migrated and to enable a seamless transition customers will also receive a simple to-do list to ensure they’re up and running as soon as possible on their new software – with minimal disruption. This will also be supported by webinars and on-demand training videos (eLearning) for agents that are available to complete at a time convenient to them.
As part of the migration experience, several additional datasets including the date rent is due and the amount to be charged, alongside management fee percentages will be migrated automatically – removing the need for a large amount of manual data entry. This is a unique benefit to Jupix customers and will be alongside existing datasets including property and contact records, property media (including photos, floorplans, EPCs or any documents linked to a property), transactional data (offers, agreed offers, viewings and valuations) which are already transferred automatically.
Simon Woodward, director of product at Zoopla, said: “Something we’ve heard time and time again from our customers is how labour intensive and daunting a process it can be moving software provider, particularly when it comes to the data migration element. This is why we’ve created an industry-leading experience that’s not only bespoke to agents and saves them tens of hours per agent when it comes to data migration, but also focuses on providing a smooth transition with minimal downtime and disruption to day to day operations.”
I wonder if this is trying to close the stable doors whilst the horses are stampeding over the hill?

What about a tool to improve Alto, before forcing agents to leave Jupix

Jupix support told me they have stopped development on Jupix and its now in ‘maintenance mode’ (although in reality it has been for the past couple of years as there has been no new features, even though the price keeps going up) and they said all Jupix customers will be ultimately moved onto Alto whether we want that or not. It makes me laugh that they think a CRM which runs our entire business can be migrated to a completely new system all on our own without any setup/configuration assistance or training! Where is the onboarding/customer success in that?! We’ve seen Alto before and intuitive and user friendly it is not. Oh, don’t worry they said, there are training videos haha.
