Zoopla’s property portal was taken off air yesterday afternoon. It appeared to be for a very short time as when we later looked, the service was fully back and running.

Visitors to the site during its down time were told that some “exciting upgrades” were being installed to make their property search experience even better.

We did ask Zoopla for a comment but so far without result.

Yesterday evening, the Zoopla site said it had 497,925 properties for sale from agents and developers.
