Zoopla appoints high flyer new director

Zoopla has appointed Vina Murria as an independent non-executive director.

Murria has a brilliant track record, and considerable experience of working with private and public companies.

In 2008, she founded Advanced Computer Software which she went on to sell for £765m to US firm Vista.

According to Zoopla, she left her role as chief executive of AIM-listed Advanced Software Group in March and will assume her new rule on July 1.

Murria was named Quoted Company Entrepreneur of the year 2014 and Woman of The Year in the 2012 Cisco Everywoman Technology Awards.

        That’s an interesting comment Harry.

Do you know how many agents left Zoopla compared to how many have left Agents Mutual since they joined?

I would be really interested to know the actual stats.

It’s fair to say that Z is still a viable business. Portals all over the world would love their problems. Z are actively seeking to add value for consumers. OTM is actively seeking to add value for Agents. Just because the two are different doesn’t make either of them wrong. Different paths up the mountain. As long as at the top buyers buy and sellers sell the market will decide which approach is best.

Its also good if both climbers bring their own  ropes and carabiners and one doesn’t try to piggy back up the mountain! There is  also very little point hauling dead weight you’ve got no need for!
