Chestertons, which put its heart and soul into raising thousands for the now disgraced Kids Company, is putting its efforts into a drive to collect winter coats and jackets.
So far, its 30-plus London branches have collected almost 500.
All will be distributed to those in need via homeless charities, refugee centres and crisis groups.
Chestertons also supports a number of other charities, and recently launched a partnership with St Mungo’s Broadway housing and homeless charity to take over after the closure of Kids Company.
As recently as June, senior executives went “back to the floor” to raise money for Kids Company.
The firm’s staff raised at least £10,000 for the cause, set up by Camila Batmanghelidjh.
It was by no means the only estate agent to raise money for the charity. Douglas & Gordon made the scandal-hit charity the focus of its fund-raising over more than four years, with staff putting in huge amounts of efforts.
Fish Need Water and Sandfords were among other agents to support the now bankrupt Kids Company.
