London’s largest estate agency, franchising firm Winkworth, is continuing its growth outside the capital with a new office in Nottingham.
This will take the total number of out-of-London offices to 38, with further offices planned around the UK this year.
Previously trading as Mark Bygott Intercounty, the Nottingham office will continue to be owned and operated by Mark Bygott, who has run the agency successfully for nine years and has over 30 years’ experience in the property industry in the area.
Bygott said of his decision to convert to the Winkworth brand that it is “an exciting prospect for us” which would allow his business to grow.
Winkworth’s out-of-London offices have seen good growth both in terms of transactions (18%) and revenue (21%) and were the most active area for Winkworth over the last year.
Winkworth CEO Dominic Agace said: “We are extremely pleased with the success of our country offices and it confirms that these markets are continuing to grow as more people are looking to the country for their next move.
“As such, we believe that by expanding in key areas around the UK including this new office in Nottingham, while maintaining a strong foothold in London, we will continue to offer the best service possible to our clients.”
