Which? Has produced a video where three estate agents give advice on buying and selling property.
The three are David Pollock of Greene & Co; Steve Pymm of Pymm and Co; and Jonathan Hudson of Hudsons.
They emphasise that there is more to take into account than fees when choosing an agent.
They also have some good advice on setting asking prices.

‘Get 3 or 4 valuations and then do your own homework on property portals and land registry’.
Great, so 3 or 4 Estate Agents isn’t enough and are likely to be wrong? Land registry is generally months out of date and, even with access to back office systems, reviewing the portals only muddies the waters for most sellers.
Don’t get me wrong, most sellers will do exactly what’s suggested but to encourage it/ Are they trying to talk themselves out of business?

It’s like asking 3 or 4 qualified electricians to quote for a re-wire then research how to do-it-yourself on Youtube. As with most things, leave it to the experts
