Roll up, roll up! For one week only, EYE is running an online auction to sell this fantastic original portrait of Mick Jagger.
The picture bursts with life and is the work of talented industry trainer Julian O’Dell, who will be donating the purchase money to cancer charity Macmillan.
Julian, whose wife Caterina has cancer, has been selling his remarkable pictures in aid of the charity after only recently rediscovering his artistic talents – not having done any sketching for years.
He had originally hoped to raise £750 but at the weekend the total on his JustGiving page stood at an astonishing £4,721.97p.
It would be great to help him get his JustGiving total to over £5,000.
In fact, he has already raised more than that amount, thanks to an art exhibition and sale held at a Macmillan coffee morning which raised £2,000. So, the total his pictures have raised could go to over £7,000 – with your help.
How much do you think the Mick Jagger portrait is worth?
EYE would like to get the ball rolling with a starting bid for £50 – but we know our generous community of readers will go way better than that.
Please place your bids below and do keep them coming. The picture measures approx 30cms by 20cms and comes already mounted and framed.
If you would prefer to bid completely anonymously, then please email your bid to the editor, ros@propertyindustryeye.com and I will put up the amount on your behalf, but without disclosing your identity.
We should just say that the final successful bidder will be asked to pay up via Julian’s JustGiving page, so he can claim the GiftAid benefit.
The auction runs until midnight on Friday (Dec 11).
Now please . . . don’t be shy.
Keep your bids rolling in!
Here is EYE’s opening bid of £50

Well done, and thanks Smile – but you’ll have to do better than that to wrestle this out of our hands. I’m not a great fan either but this drawing is really, really good and I would be delighted to have it on my wall. I have hash tagged this bidding on Twitter as #BID4MICK so we can all keep track.

There certainly are sir. Either they have an issue with you, me, Macmillan or fundraising in general. Perhaps they’ll come forward and let us know which! Thanks for the bid – appreciated!

Not necessarily PeeBee 😉 Depends on what our generous readers come up with. If I was on the rostrum I’d be saying that a superb quality lot like this is for no money at the moment…

Would you have imagined, alone in your hotel, that the art you created would be such a force for good and ultimately bring so much comfort and love, to those in need the most. You have done a very special thing Julian, thank you. Art washes away from the soul, the dust of every day life. Happy to bid £450.00 from VTUK.

Julian O’Dell just emailed me to say: “Absolutely thrilled to see the picture achieving such a fab price. Estate agents get an unfair amount of criticism but it is clear our great industry includes some very generous folk. Marvellous.”
Come on now, fill it up please. Who will bid £700?
