Well-known franchisee completes acquisition

The owners of Martin & Co’s two flagship branches in Birmingham have completed a key independent acquisition – taking their combined portfolio beyond 1,700 properties.

Deepa Sohal, Raj Bedi, and Monaj Sohal of Martin & Co’s Birmingham City and Birmingham Harborne offices have completed the purchase of more than 130 properties in the city from Your Move Murray Rogers, an independently managed and operated franchise branch of Your Move, which will be added to the Harborne portfolio.

Your Move Murray Rogers’ Birmingham portfolio marks a third acquisition in 10 years for the trio.

Deepa Sohal said: “The purchase of Your Move’s portfolio is another huge growth milestone for us, and we couldn’t be happier to get the deal over the line.

“Your Move’s landlords will now benefit from both our excellent reputation for customer service and the systems that come from us being part of a nationwide network of letting agents.

“Acquisitions have enabled us to grow our businesses at a pace that works for us and the support we’ve had from The Property Franchise Group has been key.

“We’re always on the lookout for further opportunities, too, and certainly don’t intend to stand still when it comes to growing our businesses.”

Martin & Co managing director, Ellie Hall, added: “I’m delighted to congratulate Deepa, Raj, and Monaj on completing yet another acquisition to add to their two exceptional businesses in Birmingham.

“They are very experienced when it comes to integrating and running expanding businesses and are always looking for new opportunities.

“Within The Property Franchise Group network the appetite to acquire remains high and our franchisees continue to look for new opportunities for business growth.”
