Inde Dhillon and business partner, Aman Singh, from Northwood Newcastle have completed on the acquisition of Moving Homes in North Shields.
This is their second acquisition after purchasing Northwood Newcastle as a resale in 2018.
Dhillon said: “Aman and I were attracted to the Moving Homes acquisition because it fitted well with our mission statement. Customer service is at the very heart of everything they do, and that is something we on which have grown our existing businesses.
“Moving Homes is our second acquisition since purchasing Northwood Newcastle as a resale in July 2018. We also took over Bowes Mitchell in Long Benton in 2020.
“Acquisitions are an effective way to expand a business quickly as, in the current market, organic growth has stalled. Adding another office to our offering has grown our sales and rental portfolio to nearly 1,000 properties and enabled us to have a presence across the whole city.
Prior to purchasing Northwood Newcastle the business partners both had backgrounds in property.
“My father had a BTL property in Scotland when I was growing up, so I’ve been around property from a young age, and I later became a property solicitor,” Dhillon explained. “My wife is a chartered surveyor and Aman is a trained architect, so property has always been in our blood.”
“Investing in a property business made sense given our backgrounds,” he went on. “Being part of a franchise ticked every box for us, as it allowed us to own a business while being part of a national network and brand that would help support the transition from our previous professions in the property sector to sales and lettings.”
Northwood MD Phil Gee added: “Many congratulations to Inde and Aman on what is their second acquisition after purchasing Northwood Newcastle as a resale in 2018. They are young, dynamic, ambitious and enthusiastic franchisees who are doing a fantastic job in growing their sales and rental portfolio. I have every confidence that this will be a hugely successful business move and wish them every success for the future.”
