Rightmove will host a webinar for agents next week, which will focus on the announcements by the Scottish government that rents will be frozen this winter and evictions temporarily banned.
The announcement was made earlier this week, taking effect immediately in both the private and social rental sectors. Both changes are expected to last until March 2023.
Daryl McIntosh, Scottish property market expert will join Rightmove on Wednesday 14 September to discuss the announcement and its impact on letting agents and landlords in Scotland.
McIntosh is well prepared to host the session as he has been in regular contact with the government and has been involved in many working groups that have been put together to consider legislative and practice changes.
Agents can submit questions in advance when signing up for the webinar to be answered by McIntosh and they can also ask questions live during the discussion.
During the webinar, McIntosh will also discuss the other proposed major changes to the housing sector in Scotland which will start to come to fruition later this year and beyond.
Agents can sign up to the webinar by clicking here.
Rent freeze ‘without consultation is a sign of desperation’ – industry reacts
End of PRS for Scotland. So many landlords will fall into debt through not fault of their own. This will be remembered for decades to come ….. who would want to be a landlord in the future! End result ….. the tenant is on the receiving end of no housing. THIS IS ALREADY HAPPENING.
