Agents can watch the Propertymark roadshow in Exeter live on the Rightmove Hub tomorrow morning (Thursday, May 30, from 9.30am) to hear news and advice about the Tenant Fees Act which is implemented this Saturday.

Speakers will include David Cox, CEO of ARLA Propertymark, who will deliver the latest update on the new legislation and take an extended Q&A to answer any questions you have.

Following Cox will be John Paul, owner of the Castledene Group of companies based in the north-east of England. The seven-branch network manages over 2,000 properties and employs over 50 staff.

Within a week of the tenant fees ban being announced, Castledene had implemented a strategy that saw the company’s dependence on tenant fees drop from almost 14.5% of turnover to its current rate of 3.5%.

To close proceedings Mark Hayward, NAEA chief executive, will be giving a current update on HMRC guidance and other legislative changes.

The event will be broadcast live via the Rightmove Hub, giving viewers the chance to watch the talks and also take part by putting their questions to the team of industry experts live.

Agents do not have to be members of either ARLA or NAEA to be able to tune in.
