Northwood, part of the Belvoir Group, has announced that three franchisees from across the network have completed on acquisitions.
Since the beginning of the year, Helen Elworthy of Northwood Doncaster completed on the purchase of Housesetc. which is based in Goole, Paul Ryder from Northwood Eastbourne has bought the letting portfolio of K Lettings, while Patience Simpson from Northwood Ashford has completed on the acquisition of Stevens & Co in Ashford.
Northwood MD, Phil Gee, said: “I am delighted that Helen Elworthy, who has just celebrated 10 years of being with Northwood, has completed on what is her fourth office after acquiring Housesetc. This business does not currently offer lettings, so this is a new service that Helen will be looking to provide for landlords and tenants in the Goole area.
“I am also very pleased that Patience Simpson successfully acquired Stevens & Co in Ashford, as this will be a great addition to their business, adding 131 managed units to their portfolio. Patience opened Northwood Ashford in 2015 as a cold start and has built a really great business with a fantastic reputation for sales and lettings. Patience has been looking to expand her business by acquisition for some time, and this was a perfect opportunity.
“Finally, I would like to congratulate Paul Ryder from Northwood Eastbourne on what is his third acquisition. Paul has been a Northwood franchisee for about 17 years and runs a superb business in Eastbourne. The acquisition of K Lettings, which has added over 260 properties to his portfolio, will be an excellent addition to his existing business.
“Acquisitions remain a strong growth strategy for Northwood franchisees, and we have several other acquisitions in the pipeline, which will be announced when they complete. It is always good to have such a positive start to the year, and I wish all of our franchisees every success for the future.”
Speaking of his latest acquisition, Ryder from Northwood Eastbourne, added: “masonbryant (lettings) is a trading name of K Lettings Ltd and we are delighted to have bought their lettings portfolio. This has added a significant number of properties to our portfolio, and we are very happy that Kay Smith, who was a founding member of masonbryant and a director of K Lettings, has agreed to come and work for us at Northwood.”
“We currently have a team of ten very dedicated people and look forward to providing our unique services to growing numbers of landlords and tenants in the Eastbourne area,” he added.
