Top 10 things estate agents should check on their website

Jeremy Harford Tapp

We all love a list. For my latest article for Property Industry Eye, I wanted to do a list to help you as agents quickly review your current website. These 10 things can help you evaluate if your website is the best it can be or if you can seek to improve in some areas.

The best way to do this is to watch our latest video found below.

You’ll see from the video we cover each of the 10 topics below and highlight their importance.

Website Design

Mobile First

Clean links

Speed

Icons

Security

Phone

SEO titles

Boost Clicks

The complexity of modern websites can sometimes overwhelm business owners as you can not be an expert at everything. However, we would always suggest you review your current website at the very least every few months. On a monthly basis, check your website traffic volumes, have there been any major changes or can things be improved?

It’s worth remembering that in a recent consumer survey run by Homeflow, 81% of home sellers wouldn’t contact an estate agent for a valuation if their website looked dated.

Agents interested in understanding their local website trends on Google can get a free benchmark report from Homeflow. See your agency’s ranking, compared to immediate local competitor websites, by signing up for a free benchmarketing tracking report by clicking here.

Worst thing for causing visitors to leave the site is bad copy.

Doesn’t matter how swish the site looks,  it’s not about those that arrive but about those that stay.

All very important but I still believe the number 1 on the list should be a prominent telephone number.
