Three Foxtons estate agents have apparently been sacked after brawling in the street with activists outside the London home of Boris Johnson.
The men, all wearing dark suits, became wrapped up in the noisy protest staged by Class War activists.
The agents were apparently caught on camera exchanging blows with the protesters before police intervened.
The trio were believed to be on their way back from a pub after the Islington branch of Foxtons shut early. The decision to close had been taken after concerns that it could be a target for protesters.
At the beginning of the footage one of the agents can be heard shouting ‘Oh Boris I love you’ before wading into the crowd.
The protest was on July 15, shortly after Johnson was appointed foreign secretary.
The Class War activists covered their faces with scarves and set off smoke bombs at the protest.
An advertisement for the demonstration said: “Bring pitchforks, flaming torches and incandescent anger.”
A spokesperson for Foxtons said: “We were extremely disappointed to learn of this incident.
“Foxtons absolutely does not condone this sort of behaviour.
“We pride ourselves on the professionalism of our agents and this isolated incident was treated with the utmost severity.
“Following an internal investigation, those employees found responsible are no longer working for the company.”
Classy stuff!!

Estate agents are serving the local community and are often paid well for what they do. Just because the office is closed doesn’t mean you are off duty, it’s high time people working in our industry took a more active interest in the community and it should start with the people at the top.
I mean the ones that support a charity from a lofty position and try to get as many column inches in the press. I think it should be real people helping real people.
If you are a senior manager or CEO show your troops how to get involved with the local community, act on feedback from your staff, organise and get involved yourself. Don’t expect your staff to do it if you don’t.

Agents being well paid, in the main is a myth.
As soon as you walk out that front door, you are free to do what you like within the laws.
Estate Agents don’t serve the local community, just like how Morrisions or Tescos do not either. We’re a service providing industry but mainly a business.
For starters.

I suggest you find the most successful agent in your territory and see what they are up to, whether it’s in Peckham or a little market town in rural countryside you will find the more successful agents are doing a little more in their community than just selling or letting property.
Of course you could be lucky to be in an area where all the agents couldn’t be bothered but then clearly not well paid either !

As with the ‘lipstick on a pig’ analogy, a yob in a suit is still a yob.

Reminds me of a football hooligans trial a few years ago where a number of the accused had been described as ‘company directors’ or ‘traders in the city’.
Maybe they’ve moved into estate agency!!
