We all looked a bit different, twenty plus years ago.
The hair was full and colourful and grew in the places it should grow. Unlike now, when it either doesn’t grow at all or sprouts where it shouldn’t, and takes on the strangest hues, mostly grey, silver, or white.
The paunch had not been invented and the double chin was something uncles and aunts displayed. We grew luxuriant beards and moustaches – though in fairness, so did some aunts…
We were in our prime and primed for action. Lithe, taut, untroubled by arthritic joints, we leapt forward to greet the day and earn the next commission.
For a bit of fun, from time to time (when readers are brave enough) we will bring you photos from those halcyon days. But be warned that once seen, they cannot be unseen…
The only criteria is that the old photo was taken before the year 2000.
Send it to news@propertyindustryeye.com along with a shot of how you look today, your name, and the company you now work in. Quite frankly, the bigger the difference between the two pictures, the better.
And if the old photo is rather awful, that would be excellent.
Do join in.
We begin with Mike Day – of Integra, and teclet, and occasional contributor to these pages. This one was taken with his lovely wife (the FD), twenty-nine years ago…
It was Mike’s posting of this photo on Twitter earlier this week that sparked the idea for the tongue-in-cheek series.
And here he is today. See what we mean about hair…?
