FTR- The “Banksy of agency” (love it) quit Eye because of the unjustified and unnecessary inclusion of rummage4 in Quirk’s attempt to get himself noticed for one of the CEO roles the other week.

Because if that Eye has lost a  loyal and supportive friend who contributed a lot of the stories Ros Renshaw subsequently researched and turned into news stories.  Ros’s news and Peebee’s comments are both noticeable by their absence.

Quit because someone gave his mates a bit of stick!? LOL – Oh the irony. It just shows you, those that dish it, can rarely take it

Difference is Peebee and others are not on here for self promotion. They actually care about the industry and strive for a fair and level playing field.

People like you, Adam Day, Paul Smith the Bruces Brothers are only here for personal gain. You all have an agenda to push and as soon as the wind changes you change the agenda.

The reason you have zero respect in the industry is because you are not authentic. You are just try to earn a living and using publications like this to further that.

PeeBee, and the rest of us anonymous posters you like to single out as ‘Trolls’ just give an opinion what we see as either good or bad. Sadly most stories tend to be an advertorial so that’s why they get a poor reception.

I will spare Nick and Eye the embarrassment of posting the full details of why Peebee has withdrawn his support and loyalty of the site but it is nothing to do with not being able to take it.

A lack of basic manners and respect  shown for those who have supported the site from the start and the falling quality of content means Peebee along with a lot of others have simply stopped contributing content and comment.

The irony of it all, indeed !I guess Headphones attitude is even when he falls flat on his face  he is moving forward

Seamlessly moved on to pastures new leaving in his wake as he swaggers on industrial   scale carnage for receivers  to sort out and a whole host of very unhappy investors who were suckered in

His resentment of the people who called him out but who were not responsible for him failing it fake it long enough for his deluded claims to become a reality is understandable, but misplaced

    HP – What a joke.

PeeBee Unsung hero, I know not everyone’s cup of tea but he is relentless in sorting out portal juggling and highlighting PBs cleansing of Reviews.

CW – I like him but is a broken record, some new thoughts would be nice (at least once a decade!) His ‘interviews’ are a little lightweight, now he has a platform should be asking less leading questions.

Agree. Aside from a handful full of people it’s an awful list. Some of those mentioned only have a rudimentary understanding of our industry and they are incapable of influencing anything.

Hopefully PIE will abandon articles like this unless they’re written by a pro. I cringe every time I read it.

For sure there is one name I haven’t seen yet who I know is a big influence on many of those already mentioned and on those yet to be mentioned.  Whether Simon knows of his influence I’m not sure but this is Simon’s list and without exception I can see why he has included them.

The criteria wasn’t who has had the biggest impact. This has been far more thought proking than much of the top and tail press release stuff and Quirk reckons.
Eye correspondant has done a valiant job while a replacement is found  for Ros, but there are only a few candidates who couild even be considered. Me, I’d be on the phone to Conor Shilling who only really gets to shine when Graham Norwood is on holiday

AlwaysAnAgent – which 5 people have influenced you the most as agent?

        1. JEL

Most people are just going to be influenced by those people they work closely with, I know I certainly was and they are individuals who the rest of the country wouldn’t have heard of. The people on this list from what I can see are good at  promoting themselves but they don’t really influence us.

Thus far, on my own Top 10 ( Sean Newman, Mark Burgess, Bob Scarff, Jon Cooke/Malcolm Lindley, Sanjay Ghandi) and today Christopher Watkin. 6 of my Top 10. As Mr. Bradbury has 6 more to mention, I will be interested to see if any of my final 4 get a mention. Really enjoying this series. Simon Hawkesley – Mallory Irvine

Judge a person by who they feel is influential in this industry.

The Top 5 is definitely going to be contentious and divisive. If it includes some of the names at the beginning of Post #16, it will lose credibility IMHO. Notable names not yet mentioned; the chap that still has the whistle-blowing/other involvement whiff of the recent price fixing cartel case and the head numpty at Rightmove who thought he could get away with spreading crumbs among the loyal subscribers at the onset of lock down.

Shouty and previously anonymous troll PeeBee on a top 35 list, what a joke it really is. The same old brigade white knighting him here as well, but hey the portal he is working on might get launched by 2030 but alas Boomin has already arrived.
