The Property Franchise Group reveals ‘golden fleece’ project for its hybrid offering

The Property Franchise Group has revealed that well-known industry figure Gareth Samples is to work with it on a couple of projects, in particular the future direction of the group’s hybrid offering, EweMove.

The project is being called ‘the golden fleece’. It has revealed no other details. The highly experienced Samples was managing director of Your Move for 20 years.

This year is a pivotal one for the group with CEO Ian Wilson standing down in December. His successor has yet to be announced.

TPFG now has a market capitalisation of over £61m, close to rival Belvoir’s market cap of £63.5m, whose shares finished Friday at 178p.

Belvoir enjoyed highly favourable press in yesterday’s Mail on Sunday, which tipped the group for an expected rise in profits and revenues when it reports its 2019 results next month.

The Midas column said that Belvoir’s “solid performance” does not fully reflect Belvoir’s value, and that its stock should increase materially, with brokers forecasting that shares will hit almost £2.40 by next year.

Midas also praises the business model for looking after frranchisees and their customers, and Belvoir’s CEO, Dorian Gonsalves as a “stickler for fair play”.

Foxtons’ shares have also been flourishing and hit a high on Friday, finishing the day at 93.5p.

It is the highest that they have been for over two years, since the summer of 2017, and gives Foxtons a market capitalisation of about £256m.

The latest rise comes as UBS has raised its stake in the firm from 7.04% to 8.13%.

    The Golden Fleece

An apt description for those 50+ franchisees now gone  ushered in with the hooks who reached for the rose but came out with a handful of thorns  some with life changing debts

Ian said in EYE last August that disappearing franchises had reduced to single figures but that is simply not true 4 already gone this year and we are only in the 2nd month.
Samples will have his work cut  out narrowing the gap between those withering on the vine and the high flying prize rams . All the Bees Basingstoke Beverley Barnstaple   and  Bexleyheath.

Ewemove despite great swathes of the country being sheep free zones awarding new franchises  right on top of existing ones How can that help the existing franchisee   ?

Ian also said that he dreaded interviewing  husbands and wives as prospective franchisees as  the outcome rarely works out well

Beverley is a notable exception however there is a middle aged late career change husband and wife operation who have been trading  4 years

Latest account submitted in December show that annual  creditors have increased progressively year on year from £95k pa to a staggering £123k pa

Not only that deficit increased from £61k to £100k

They have just the 3 sales instructions and 1 letting instruction The husband took on a full time job last March

How have Ewemove let them get into that position?

These very personal attacks are starting to become a monotonous humm, a droll tone.

Never in my professional career have I known such an obsession…. Unhealthy perhaps you might say. I may be able to understand a personal view (your opinion) on an organisation but pinpointing hard working individuals is not the way to do it.

Frankly it’s just getting boring now, wind your neck in!

Well  nothing like berating  a “personal attack with a”personal attack.
It seems that we are both achieving firsts.
Never in my professional career have I seen so many  franchises disappear .
What are Belvoir doing right that Ewemove are doing wrong?
Call me old fashioned  but boasting about performance whilst some of those on the coalface disappear with life changing debts I find unpalatable
What  would your advice be to the franchisees I mentioned  in the previous post(who I was careful not to name)

Keep bu****ing on or perhaps you don’t care!

Here he goes again yawn yawn yawn. Check your facts HoW, Beverley actually have over 20 properties available for sale and over 30 SSTC and lets too. So if you can’t get simple numbers like that right what does that say about your other “facts”? Personalising your attack on EweMove by naming a branch is a new low. And your pathetic comment to say you were very careful not to name anyone doesn’t wash, it takes 2 seconds to use your information on Google and identify the husband and wife team. Poor show HoW. I agree with Donovanmohog, time to wind your neck in, you’ve made your point…Many, many, many times.

Big Villain Oh dear  Read both  my posts again
You have got it around your neck The complete opposite in fact
Beverley   I referred to as a high flying prize ram success story one of the Bees .A husband and wife team who have done exceptionally well   -the exception  that proves the rule

      Hats off to them

HoW read your post again and see how it can read that you are referring to Beverley. You need to be more careful with your trolling.

        …or just desist. Yawn.

Which bit about that did you fail to understand?

What I do find curious is that any response from those connected with Ewemove seem more concerned in stifling any  noise ,shoot the messenger and burying bad news rather than  tackle Ewemove management on how they recruit and manage franchisees .

No concern seemingly whatsover  about those who suffer or have suffered. Not even a token effort at a defence?Strange  lot.

The unnamed franchisee ,believe me is not alone. Not one of you have made any comment on their perilous financial situation  what should be done in that situation,Somebody at HO should have stepped in by now

Maybe the new appointment’s brief is hopefully going to address that.Let’s hope so

In seems  that  in some desperate  measure  to increase  numbers they are now  cramming new ones down  the throat of existing ones .As if life isn’t difficult  enough for existing franchisees ?

Just goes to show how little you really know. You’re embarrassing yourself. If those franchisees that have sadly left us (for many reasons) had felt let down wouldn’t one of them been on here saying so by now?

And having franchisees filling the gaps in geographical territories helps us, not hinders us existing franchisees. Creating closer networks that can support each other and growing the brand for starters. None of us want or need you to fight our corner thank you so do us all a favour and keep your opinions to yourself.

Sure there are franchisees who leave for reasons totally  unconnected to the success or otherwise of their business but this doesn’t account for the  50+ +voting with  their feet

Some with huge amounts of debts &already this year 7 and we are only in month 2

I suspect they have let Head Office know in no uncertain terms !

You are trying to justify the unjustifiable

You have an interesting  sense of geography .
, How is leaving the whole of Wales ,the Midlands and the majority of Manchester unserviced filing the gaps by sqeezing in  new  franchisees hard by or actually in other  franchisees territories

Ewemove Harrogate and  Ripon are now trading as TLC Yorkshire Properties  LTD  They have certainly voted with their feet but Ewemove are still showing them  up on their site as current  Ewemove franchisees

Even the chatline doesn’t know. That’s what I call embarrassing
