As many of you are aware from previous EYE updates, Julian O’Dell, industry trainer and consultant, is holding a music festival in his garden to raise funds for Macmillan.
We know there are already a good few EYE readers attending.
The event, named Catfest (after Julian’s wife Cat, who is fighting cancer and in the midst of another brutal chemotherapy regime) is on August 28 and Julian has advised that there are only a handful of tickets left.
“The event is all-inclusive with all food, drink, ice cream, coffee and music free on the day.
“Everyone on the guest list has to make a donation to Macmillan and with those donations, sponsorship money and a few other streams of income, it looks as if our profits, every penny of which will go to the charity, will be well in excess of £15,000,” says Julian.
EYE readers might want to grab one of the last remaining tickets, or alternatively make a monetary donation, however small, or perhaps give a raffle prize, or buy some Catfest raffle tickets.
“I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of clients, family and friends,” says Julian.
“We’ve got some fantastic raffle prizes including a day trip on a longboat with lunch, a relaxation day at Whittlebury Hall with lunch, designer watch, Kenwood food processor, photography training day, £1,000 of designer curtains and even a weekend break in a Norfolk cottage with the loan of a classic car thrown in.
“We will be selling raffle tickets imminently, so if anyone would like some, do get in touch.”
The event, sponsored by EYE and a number of other industry folk such as Rightmove, Fine & Country, Thomas Mae Land and New Homes Consultants, Knightsbridge Estate Agents, Beasleys Estate Agents, Moneypenny and Reapit amongst others, looks like a great occasion for a great cause.
The venue is Rook Tree Farm, Hulcote, Milton Keynes MK17 8BW.
Email julianodell@live.co.uk or text him on 07718 634235 to join a terrific day in an excellent cause.
Look out for a charity auction next week on EYE of one of Julian’s portraits. The winner will be able to choose from portraits of Chris Martin, Elvis and Madonna.
Going to be epic. Pulling a special outfit for this one

Send photos of Whaley, at Catfest, in his finery to us at EYE. It will doubtless be a sight worth sharing!
